ALS (Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis) is a progressive neurological disease with no cure. Every 90 minutes, someone is diagnosed — and someone loses their life to it. Your purchase funds research, awareness, and direct support for those fighting this disease.
Captain Doug Hancock spent 25 years in the skies as an American Airlines pilot, serving his fellow aviators with the same dedication he brought to every flight. He founded and led the Family Awareness Committee for the Allied Pilots Association in Charlotte, and served as both Vice Chairman and Chairman of the Charlotte crew base.
Now, Doug is facing the fight of his life. He has been diagnosed with ALS — Lou Gehrig's disease — a progressive and relentless illness that attacks the nerve cells controlling movement. There is no cure. But Doug's community refuses to accept that.
From fundraisers at Pilot Brewing in Charlotte to fellow pilots rallying under the banner of Allied Pilots Against ALS, Captain Doug is surrounded by people who love him and will not stop fighting alongside him. Every shirt, every koozie, every lanyard purchased here goes directly toward his care and toward funding the research that could one day change everything.
ALS is not on our flight plan. Not today. Not ever.
